Our violas are built entirely by hand, in the same workshop and to the same standards as our award-winning violins. Available in sizes from 14 to 16.5 inches, each instrument follows the Stradivari or Tertis pattern and is graded according to the tonewood used — so that violists from beginners through advanced and professional players can find a suitable instrument.

All models carry an official workshop label; the advanced grade includes an official certificate. Pricing is available on request.

Model 903

ENTRY-LEVEL HANDCRAFTED VIOLA · CHINESE TONEWOOD

The Model 903 viola is made entirely from Chinese tonewood sourced in Sichuan province, naturally aged three to five years and dried a further year after cutting before construction. It is fully handcrafted without CNC machinery. Available in sizes from 14 to 16.5 inches, it is an ideal first instrument for beginning violists and students who need a genuine handmade viola rather than a factory product.

FOR ADVANCING STUDENTS · FINER CHINESE TONEWOOD

The Model 905 viola uses the finer-grained selection of our Chinese tonewood, with jujube fittings and a warmer, more responsive voice than the entry-level 903. Like all our instruments it is fully handcrafted and seasoned over several years. Available from 14 to 16.5 inches, it suits advancing students and intermediate violists ready for a more refined instrument.

Model 907 & 909

FOR PROFESSIONAL & ORCHESTRAL VIOLISTS · MIXED & EUROPEAN TONEWOOD

The 907 combines an Italian spruce top with premium Sichuan maple for the back, ribs and neck; the 909 steps up to fully European material, with an Italian spruce top and Bosnian maple. Both are fully handcrafted and seasoned over years. Available from 14 to 16.5 inches in the Stradivari or Tertis pattern, these instruments are intended for conservatory, professional, and orchestral violists who require a mature, projecting voice.
